A Festive Thanksgiving

On this a beautiful Thanksgiving Day, I wanted to present dinner as pretty and as festive as I could. I know that there are things I could have done with a bit more creativity and style but for this year it was as festive and as pretty as I could get. I don't usually make things presentable in this fashion. It just isn't what we do in this house. We usually just cook things up and plop things on a plate. Not the most graceful way to plate things. However, I have turned a page in my life where less is more and presentation is everything. I will learn to as I go forward to make average everyday dinner look absolutely beauteous. Or at least I will give it the ole college try, LOL!!! 😉

I started Thanksgiving prep the day before. Prepping all the sides, brining the turkey, and getting table set.  Bringing out my wedding china, putting a nice tablecloth out and making new placemats. Just so things are bright and cheerful. We also had some unexpected visitors. These crazy goofs just had to crash the party. you'll get what I am talking about when you see the photo.

After all that work, eating, and all the clean-up meaning dishes done, and put away, kitchen counters washed and stove washed. My day is done. I'm off duty. I can't even think to east dessert after all that food. And I made my plate small. Not tons of food and what I had on my plate I couldn't finish.

So here are the pics from how everything turned out. Including the uninvited guests....

My Thanksgiving Table for 3 ꜛ

My refreshing drink of water infused with Lemon, Orange and Basil

Our uninvited party crashers

My beautiful bird

And all the fixings: Turkey, Twice Baked Potatoes, stuffing muffins, cranberry sauce, gravy, turnip, Carrots, and green bean casserole

Until then Stay Happy, Stay Safe, and Stay Positive
